Cross-Training - Swimming

Running is fun, but you can't run all the time, at least for very long. I came across some of these articles when I was looking for ways to cross-train and not go insane (I was basically restricted to swimming for 2 weeks... laps just get boring day after day). Figured I'd post them:
  • Wet Equity - swimming, pool-running, and stretching recommendations (I thought this article was cool because they combine all three into a series of workouts)
  • Different Strokes - swimming and pool-running technique
  • Mixed Blessing - exercise bike, weight lifting, swimming, and "alternative running" recommendations
  • Why Not Tri - training basics for beginning triathletes (the first 4 or so pages are dedicated to swimming and cycling)
Oh, and make sure to remember to drink water when you swim! This may seem obvious (ok, it is), but I always forget and then wonder why I'm dying of thirst the rest of the day. #20
