- Yellow (general classification): the overall leader
- Green (points classification): the best sprinter (points are awarded for high finishes in a stage and for winning intermediate sprints)
- Red & White Polka Dot (mountain classification): the best hill climber (the "King of the Mountain" is decided by who reaches the top of the mountain first)
- White (young rider classification): the best "young" (under 26) rider

Tour de France
I feel obligated to post something about the Tour de France... and for me, the most confusing thing is keeping track of the "jersey code", so here goes:
